RTD continues to add to its transit police force

RTD achieved a milestone in its Transit Police force this week reaching 56 sworn officers in the agency’s department, and another 21 recruits currently in police academy training. RTD continues to hire officers for its Transit Police Department, with a goal to have 119 officers on staff by the end of 2024. In August 2022, the agency had 19 sworn officers. Full story.

Language additions to website, Next Ride app provide inclusivity to RTD customers

In November 2023, RTD launched a fully redesigned website to make it more user-friendly for customers with enhanced online accessibility and improved navigation. The agency continues to evolve its website and Next Ride app by adding Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Vietnamese(April)language translations to improve accessibility for limited English-speaking individuals. A Job Fair for bus operators on March 28

Interested in becoming a part of an agency that makes lives better through connections? Check out this job fair exclusively for bus operators. The bus operator role is a career that people can retire from or start as a second career. RTD is hosting the Job Fair Thursday, March 28, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Denver Airport Convention Center, 15500 E 40th Ave., Denver, CO 80239.Candidates who are hired will receive a $4,000 signing bonus, paid training, including CDL training, and guidance through the permit process. Pay starts at $25.96 an hour and qualified candidates need to have a domestic driver’s license valid for at least two years. Learn more.
